Dear Friends
In view of 21 days lockdown, Let us remain united in prayer for all those affected by the coronavirus and for all who are serving our community in health care, public service and research. May the Lord grant us strength, healing and peace. Parish office is currently closed until further notice but the Church is open during the day for quiet Individual Prayer.
We shall continue to offer private Mass and praying for your intentions. Those who would like to include your intentions may message to the parish mobile number. We encourage you to keep the Lord’s Day holy. Some ways to do this include: reading the Gospels, praying with your families, and joining yourself to the sacrifice of the Mass by making an act of spiritual communion.
Also would like to request you to let me know if some families are struggling financially because of lockdown. We will try to give necessary support to the needy.
In accordance with the decision of Holy Father Pope Francis, in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, all of us will recite the Our Father, at 4:30pm, on Wednesday 25th March 2020. This is in filial union with Pope Francis and in fraternal communion with all the members of the Universal Church all over the world.
We shall be following Pope Francis on Friday 27th March 2020 at 10:30 pm, Indian standard time, for a prayer service, presided over by Pope Francis in the Vatican, during which there will be proclamation of the word of God, prayer of supplication, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, concluding with an extraordinary blessing “urbi et orbi”, to which will be annexed the possibility of receiving a plenary indulgence.
We will not have our public Easter celebration but coming 21 days of passion will lead our country to resurrection……. Families will undergo a resurrection in family bonding – by praying together, eating together and sharing together. May God bless us and keep us all safe. Let us break the chain of coronavirus to redeem our country to a new dawn.
